COACH

I am a 20 year veteran of teaching, coaching and athletic administration. In my high school years I was a 3 sport athlete who played soccer; but where I really excelled was basketball and track. I still hold the high jump record at my old high school! 28 years later! I played basketball for two years at Macomb Community College, and was recruited to play at Ferris State. I declined and transferred to CMU, where I was asked to play for their practice squad. I decided to focus on my studies and stop playing ball. I am a proud father of a soon to be 5 year old little girl. My life took on new meaning the day she was born. It's hard to explain how much love a person can have in their heart until they have a child.  My wife Kelly and I cannot be more proud of who she is and what she will grow into. She definitely has the heart of a Stallion. :) I love teaching aquatics, first aid, and conditioning for athletes classes at Henry Ford II. I believe that sports and athletics are a gateway to success in life and in the classroom. Athletes understand what commitment and dedication are, and how it applies to life. I truly hope that I can give the SH Varsity Girls Basketball Team a fun, positive experience, and teach them some life lessons along the way. They are an amazing group of young people, and I am blessed to be part of their lives. Winning is fun, but the journey is what makes the experience worthwhile.
